“ This is definitely the locals hang out spot, very popular. Friendly staff. I liked the bloody mary a lot, it was amazing! My wings were really good, the chile lime and lemon pepper were so good. Kettle chips were ok. Pretzels were yummy. Crab cakes were good. I would definitely come back, I want to try more of the wing flavors and the cheese curds looked good! ”

“ I am rating this place a 4/5 because our server was so incredibly sweet. She was so attentive and kind. She made our experience wonderful. I wish I remembered her name. I came for a late lunch (around 3:30-4 PM) on a Saturday. I ordered a southwest salad and my boyfriend ordered the curd cobain burger. In the meantime we took a sip of our water - which smelled like sewage or sulfur. I immediately ordered a mimosa and my boyfriend ordered a Sprite as the tap water was not drinkable. Maybe the locals are use to this water? My salad was pretty good. It was a pretty average salad. My boyfriend asked if I wanted to try his burger and when I took a bite it was cold. I don't mean it was warm, it was actually very cold. Inside the burger was bright pink/red and cold. The curd was also cold. It wasn't melty, it was like a puck of cold cheese. It was so odd. At that point it was apparent that the patty was a frozen patty and possibly the curd as well and neither were heated through long enough. I've never bitten into a cold burger at any establishment before. We both honestly lost our appetite. I didn't want to make a big deal out of it, since we knew we wouldn't be back. From photos I've seen of the burgers the patty looked different than the one we received. It made me wonder if they ran out of meat and had to resort to a frozen patty that day. Maybe it was a different cook. Who knows. They have overall very positive reviews (which is why we went) so maybe our experience wasn't the norm. ”

“ The food , drinks and friendly service made this evening with friends and great experience. A clean and spacious tavern has a bright and airy feel in a great neighborhood entertainment district in East Dundee. Generous portions and good flavor in their elevated pub fare. I appreciated the offer of a taste of the cider on tap before I ordered it. I was hesitant because it was peach but it was delicious and refreshing. ”

“ A local pub located in the busy entertainment district of East Dundee serving traditional pub food and craft beers. They offer a nice beer and cocktail list,huge menu and daily specials. We went midweek and we were seated immediately. The staff is super friendly (Josie J) My wife had the Tequila Lime Chicken bowl(GF) with roasted seasoned potatoes (which were more like French fries) ,and steamed broccoli. Nice portion,good in flavor. I had the Chili Shrimp Tacos(4) with chili rubbed shrimp, chipotle aioli,cilantro,pico and cotija cheese.very flavorful but a small portion in my opinion.. Comes with a side of chips and salsa. When I checked in with Yelp, I got a 15% off coupon which was a nice surprise. For a casual laid-back friendly atmosphere to either have a few drinks or upgraded pub eats,give River Street Tavern a try! ”

“ Friday night date night. Trying a new place. This was a great space that didn't feel super crowded even though almost every table was full. Service was as good. We ordered two old fashioneds, wings as an appetizer and two burgers. The old fashioneds were a little light (see photo) and all the food came out at once (even though we asked for the wings to start). We really liked the burgers a lot but would not order the wings again. I would go back and try something else next time. ”

“ A nice casual tavern with seating split between a bar and table area (where there's activities like karaoke and trivia). The setup does look a little bit more upscale than what you'd expect at a normal bar and the menu with better than average options (at very reasonable prices) matches this as well. What I like most about this spot is the friendly clientele. This is probably due to the setup of the spot which gives it a somewhat intimate feel as most people aren't more than 15 feet or so away from the bar which is fairly long, able to watch several games on the television at once. But there's also enough space to spread out and not feel too cramped. This makes it pretty easy to strike up a conversation with other patrons. The food overall I'd describe as slightly elevated versions of pub favorites that are served in pretty good portions and have a generally nice presentation. ”

“ My husband and I went to the River Street Tavern late at night to get a bite to eat. I was pleasantly surprised by how many people were there on a Thursday night. There were sports games and karaoke going on. We were able to find three seats at the bar. We ordered the apple crisp and chicken wings. The chicken wings came out hot and were a delicious mess (in a good way). The apple crisp was warm and very flavorful and served with a giant scoop of ice cream. The bartenders were very nice. I highly recommend River Street Tavern. ”
